For JCRCs and the organized American Jewish community, the security and survival of Israel, as well as the strength of the relationship between the United States and Israel, are of the utmost importance.
In addition, we are deeply concerned and involved in efforts responding to the needs of other Jewish communities around the world that are in difficulty or danger. Over the years, JCRCs and national Jewish agencies have exercised a leadership role in securing freedom for Jews in the Soviet Union, Ethiopia and Syria. We are concerned about Jewish communities in Europe, South America, Asia and wherever there are Jews who are in need of support and assistance.
